Getting Set Up

The following pages will help you get started using your Wicked Edge System.  

First you will need to set up your sharpener according to the instructions included with your sharpening system. 
   - mount the sharpener to the base
   - mount the collars onto the arm 
      - I use 21 degrees on the left side and 23 degrees on the right side
   - the arm has pre-drilled holes to secure the collar consistently at the angles you set
  
Below is a link to some basic instructions from Wicked Edge you may find helpful getting started.

The "Alignment Guide" is not necessary for reed knives - it is designed for much longer blades. Likewise you will not need the "Knife Brace" - it is for supporting filet knives.
